CYAA Cheerleading provides an opportunity for athletes to learn the proper techniques of cheerleading. CYAA believes that athlete participation is an important contribution to the Church’s religious mission and ministry and plays a vital role in the formation of the Christian personality. Athletics, as with all school programs, are formational in nature. Gospel-based values are taught and learned in athletic programs by developing respect for self and others through competitions in which dignity, integrity, fairness, and moral strength are emphasized. Coaches, student-athletes, and fans are expected to display appropriate Christian behavior at all times.

Being a cheerleader is an honor and privilege. Cheerleaders exist to promote good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and a wholesome and enthusiastic spirit. Cheerleaders should exemplify both individual and group behavior suitable to their position and in accordance with our Catholic values.

We offer an atmosphere where children can learn sportsmanship, positive social skills, good citizenship, and an appreciation for sports. Our program presents a positive, catholic environment where your children are not only learning, but they are also having fun doing so, while simultaneously learning how to be a good Christian.

CYAA's cheerleaders, parents, volunteers, coaches, and other programs work together to ensure CYAA Cheerleading reaches its highest potential. Understanding that this sport is constantly evolving, our coaches are consistently staying updated on emerging trends, skills, and techniques. These coaches truly have a passion, dedication, and respect for this sport and love every second of it!
