Volunteering
The following are just some of the volunteer opportunities available each season within the CVAA. Please contact your coach, sports director, or a board member to get more details and to volunteer. We need all assistance possible. Please be committed once you volunteer and show your children and community that you care.
- Team Mom and/or Dad
- Trash removal
- Stats recorder
- Equipment manager
- Photographer (digital camera required)
- Concessions and ticket sales
- Field maintenance for all sports
- Field painting and prep for game days
- Announcers, scorekeeper, clock operator, cleanup
- Chain crew on game days
- Committees for fundraisers & special events

Attention all Crusader Baseball & Softball Families
The sign up for the Crusader Concession Stand is now available. As part of your service to the CYAA organization please sign up to work a minimum of one game. You may split the time if you would like with another parent.
Having the concession stand open is so very important for our programs as the profits are used to maintain our fields and buy new equipment.
This year we are requiring that each family work a minimum of one snack stand opening.

Background Screening Policy
Requirements to coach for CYAA:
- Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance (included in diocesan volunteer clearances, but CYAA requires actual documents or copies)
- PA State Police Criminal History Check (included in diocesan volunteer clearances, but CYAA requires actual documents or copies)
- FBI Fingerprint Based Background Checks - only required if NOT been continuous resident of PA for the past ten years
- Concussion Protocol Training
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
- Pastor endorsement
